This session will provide an overview of the types of child abuse, the signs of child abuse, reporting disclosure and child abuse suspicion and the processes our kids go through once child abuse is reported, as well as the Four Pillars and Seven Principles of Trauma. Trauma plays a key role as an obstacle in the ability for a student to learn. Dean and Lee will help you understand how the 4 and 7 can be implemented in your organization. They believe that every organization needs to understand the pillars and principles before implementing a process in order to effectively support children and youth who are experiencing trauma.
